Our beginning
petal-grove emerged from a simple observation: too many environmental assessments were treated as bureaucratic hurdles rather than opportunities for genuine ecological improvement. Our founders, having spent years conducting surveys that gathered dust in planning offices, knew there had to be a better way.
In 2014, we established petal-grove with a different philosophy. Every assessment would be an opportunity to educate, every mitigation plan would be designed for real-world implementation, and every client relationship would be built on transparency and shared learning.
The landscapes we work to protect span from coastal reserves to ancient woodlands.
What drives us
We've witnessed the accelerating loss of British wildlife firsthand. Hedgerows that once teemed with life now stand silent. Meadows that supported dozens of butterfly species have been reduced to monocultures. This loss isn't inevitable it's the result of decisions made without ecological understanding.
Our work exists at the intersection of development and conservation. We don't believe these forces must be antagonistic. With careful planning and genuine commitment, new buildings can coexist with wildlife, infrastructure projects can create corridors for nature, and corporate operations can regenerate rather than deplete.
